Description

1,2-Distearoyl-sn-Glycero-3-Phosphoethanolamine-PEG-Iodoacetyl (DSPE-PEG-IA) is a PEG phospholipid. This conjugation combines the stability provided by DSPE with the circulation-enhancing properties of PEGylation. The iodoacetyl group is reactive with thiol to yield a thioether linkage. The amphiphilic polymer can form lipid bilayer or micelles spontaneoulsy in water. It can be used to prepare liposome or nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery, such as mRNA or DNA vaccine, liposomal anticancer treatment, etc.
