Description

DTPA-PEG-Biotin combines the properties of DTPA, PEG, and biotin to offer versatile applications in biomedical imaging, drug delivery, and diagnostic assays. It can be used as a contrast agent for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). The DTPA component chelates gadolinium (Gd), a paramagnetic ion that enhances the MRI signal, providing detailed anatomical and functional information in medical diagnostics. DTPA-PEG-Biotin can also be labeled with radioactive isotopes (e.g., technetium-99m) for use in nuclear medicine imaging techniques such as SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography). These radiopharmaceuticals are used for imaging specific organs or tissues and diagnosing diseases.
