Description

endo-BCN-PEG2-amine refers to a molecule containing an endo-bicyclo[6.1.0]non-4-yne (BCN) moiety connected to a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain with two ethylene glycol units and an amine functional group at the end. The BCN group is commonly used in bioorthogonal chemistry, particularly in copper-free click reactions with tetrazine-containing molecules. The reaction between BCN and tetrazines is highly selective and rapid under physiological conditions, making it valuable for labeling biomolecules, such as proteins or nucleic acids, in live cells or organisms. The amine functionality at the end of the PEG chain provides a site for further functionalization or conjugation with targeting ligands or biomolecules.
