Description

endo-BCN-PEG6-t-butyl ester is a click chemistry linker containing a BCN group and a t-butyl protected carboxyl group. Endo-BCN is a strained alkyne derivative with a bicyclic structure. It is known for its high reactivity in bioorthogonal chemistry, particularly in reactions with tetrazines. PEG is a synthetic, biocompatible polymer composed of repeating ethylene glycol units. It is widely used in biomedical applications due to its hydrophilic nature, low toxicity, and resistance to protein adsorption. The t-butyl ester functional group is formed by reacting a carboxylic acid with t-butanol. It consists of a carbonyl group (-C(=O)-) attached to an alkyl chain (t-butyl group). t-Butyl esters are commonly used as protecting groups for carboxylic acids in organic synthesis.
