Aliskiren is a direct renin inhibitor used primarily to treat hypertension. It works by inhibiting renin, an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), which regulates blood pressure. As a renin inhibitor, Ent-Aliskiren (if developed as a drug) would be used to manage high blood pressure, similar to aliskiren. Its efficacy and safety would be evaluated in clinical trials.
