Ethyne Polyborosilazane (Ethyne-PBSZ) is a compound featuring an ethyne (or acetylene) group integrated into a polyborosilazane (PBSZ) structure. PBSZ is known for its high thermal stability, chemical resistance, and ability to form ceramics upon heat treatment. It is used as a precursor for boron-containing ceramics and coatings. The ethyne group is attached to the PBSZ polymer, providing additional reactivity and functionality. Ethyne-PBSZ can be used as a precursor to produce boron-containing ceramics. Upon heat treatment, the polymer undergoes conversion to a ceramic material with high thermal and chemical stability.
