Description

FAM DBCO, 6-isomer refers to a specific derivative of 5-carboxyfluorescein (FAM) functionalized with a Dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO) group, where the DBCO is attached at the 6-position of the FAM molecule. It can be used in bioorthogonal labeling strategies, where the fluorescent dye is selectively attached to biomolecules containing azide groups in complex biological environments. The bioorthogonal nature of the click chemistry reaction allows for specific and rapid labeling without interfering with native biological processes. FAM DBCO, 6-isomer, can also be conjugated to biomolecules, such as proteins, peptides, nucleic acids, or carbohydrates, containing azide groups. This fluorescent labeling allows for the visualization and detection of the labeled biomolecules in biological samples using fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, or fluorescent imaging techniques.
