Description

Fluorescent (DiA) Immunoliposomes-Folate (PEGylated), Lyophilized Powder are designed to overcome challenges in traditional drug delivery, such as poor bioavailability, low targeting specificity, and rapid clearance from circulation. This system combines fluorescence for tracking, folate-based targeting for specific cellular uptake, and PEGylation for improved circulation and stability. The folate receptor is a membrane protein that binds to folic acid (vitamin B9) and is overexpressed in several cancer types, including ovarian, breast, lung, and renal cancers. These receptors are involved in the cellular uptake of folates and folate-conjugated molecules. The high expression of folate receptors on tumor cells makes them an attractive target for drug delivery.
