Fluorescent (DiR) Immunoliposomes-Dodecanyl (Non-PEGylated), Lyophilized Powder are transformative tools in cancer diagnosis and therapy due to the DiR immunoliposomes’ ability to combine NIR imaging, targeting capabilities, and drug delivery mechanisms. The liposomes’ targeting specificity ensures that they preferentially localize to cancer cells while sparing healthy tissues. Beyond, targeting cancer stem cells are a major contributor to chemotherapy resistance, metastasis, and relapse. DiR immunoliposomes can target cancer stem cells selectively by functionalizing with targeting ligands such as anti-CD44 antibodies, anti-CD133 antibodies, and ligands targeting key CSC surface markers.
