Description

Fluorescent (NBD lipid (fatty acid tail)) Immunoliposomes-Caproylamine (Non-PEGylated), Lyophilized Powder can encapsulate photosensitizers or PDT agents (e.g., porphyrins, phthalocyanines) and use the NBD fluorescence for monitoring tumor localization. The caproylamine modification ensures enhanced cell membrane interaction, leading to better uptake of the photosensitizer by target cells. In this approach, NBD fluorescence can be used to confirm the specific localization of the PDT agents at the target site before light activation, ensuring precise treatment of tumors or abnormal tissue. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) involves the use of light-activated compounds to produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) that selectively kill tumor cells.
