Description

Fmoc-Asp(biotinyl-PEG)-OH is an aspartic acid derivative where aspartic acid is modified with biotinyl-PEG at its side chain carboxylic acid group, and it has an Fmoc protecting group at its N-terminus and a free hydroxyl group at its C-terminus. Fmoc-Asp(biotinyl-PEG)-OH can be used to introduce a biotin tag into a peptide sequence during solid-phase peptide synthesis. The biotinyl-PEG moiety provides the peptide with biotin functionality, which can be utilized for various downstream applications such as affinity purification, protein detection, or protein localization studies using avidin/streptavidin-based assays.
