Description

Fmoc-Cys(Trt)-Chlorotrityl PEG-Polystyrene Resin is highly versatile, suitable for peptides requiring cysteine and capable of supporting the synthesis of peptides for a range of applications, from drug discovery to peptide mimetics and post-translational modification studies. The Trt group provides excellent protection for the cysteine thiol group, preventing oxidation or undesired side reactions. This protection is selective and can be easily removed under mild acidic conditions, leaving the thiol group intact for downstream applications. The chlorotrityl resin ensures highly efficient coupling of the first amino acid to the resin, reducing the risk of incomplete reactions and improving overall yield and purity. The PEG-polystyrene hybrid support improves the solubility of the resin, which enhances reagent access, reduces aggregation, and ultimately leads to higher coupling efficiency and cleaner peptides.
