Description

Fmoc-D-Glu(OtBu)-Wang Resin (N-Fmoc-D-glutamic acid gamma-t-butyl ester Wang resin) allows for the selective assembly of peptide chains while providing protective groups that facilitate efficient synthesis and modification. The Fmoc (9-fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl) group protects the amino terminus of the glutamic acid. D-glutamic acid is the D-enantiomer of glutamic acid, an important amino acid involved in protein synthesis. Using D-glutamic acid can alter the properties and activities of the resulting peptides, such as enhancing resistance to enzymatic degradation. The γ-t-butyl ester protects the carboxylic acid group on the side chain of glutamic acid, which helps prevent unwanted reactions during peptide synthesis.
