Description

Fmoc-L-Glu(biotinyl-PEG)-OH is used as a building block in SPPS to incorporate biotinylated glutamic acid residues into peptides. The Fmoc protecting group enables stepwise peptide chain assembly, where it is selectively removed under mild conditions to expose the amino group for coupling. Biotin (vitamin B7) conjugated to a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm. The PEG spacer enhances solubility and flexibility, providing a linker between the glutamic acid residue and biotin.
