Description

Fmoc-Trp(Boc)-Wang PEG-Polystyrene Resin is preloaded with Fmoc-Trp(Boc), where Trp (tryptophan) is attached to the resin via its carboxyl group, and the Boc group protects the indole nitrogen of tryptophan. This allows for subsequent peptide elongation without affecting the side-chain reactivity. The combination of Fmoc for amine protection and Boc for side-chain protection of tryptophan allows for precise control over the synthesis. The Boc group selectively protects the indole nitrogen of Trp, avoiding side reactions involving the tryptophan side chain during synthesis. The PEGylation of the resin improves the swelling of the resin in organic solvents, making the synthesis more efficient by enhancing reagent penetration and ensuring better coupling efficiency. The use of Wang resin ensures high-quality peptide synthesis with minimal contamination, as the peptide is cleaved in high yield and purity.
