Description

Folate-PEG-Maleimide (Folic acid-PEG-Maleimide, Folate-PEG-MAL, FA-PEG-MAL) is a thiol reactive PEG derivative which can selectively bind with folate receptor found in a number of human malignancies including cancers of the ovary, lung, endometrium, kidney, breast, bladder and brain. The functional polymer can be used for development of targeted nanotherapeutics based on cancer biomarker. The maleimide group is reactive with thiol to form a stable thioether bond.
