Description

GalNAc-PEG-DBCO (N-Acetylgalactosamine-PEG-DBCO) combines N-Acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO). GalNAc is a sugar molecule, specifically an acetylated form of galactosamine. It is known for its ability to bind to specific receptors on the surface of hepatocytes (liver cells). GalNAc-PEG-DBCO is commonly used in the development of RNAi therapeutics. siRNA or antisense oligonucleotides can be conjugated to GalNAc-PEG-DBCO for efficient delivery to liver cells to treat genetic diseases. In addition, PEGylation with GalNAc-PEG-DBCO can improve the stability and pharmacokinetics of drugs, allowing for longer circulation times and enhanced therapeutic effects.
