Description

Gambogic acid is a natural compound derived from the resin of Garcinia hanburyi, a tree native to Southeast Asia. Gambogic acid can trigger programmed cell death (apoptosis) in cancer cells by activating various signaling pathways involved in apoptosis. This leads to the selective elimination of cancer cells while sparing normal cells. In addition, it inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells by disrupting the cell cycle and preventing cancer cells from dividing and proliferating.
