Description

H-Arg(Pbf)-Chlorotrityl Polystyrene Resin is based on a polystyrene matrix, functionalized with chlorotrityl chloride and linked to a protected arginine (H-Arg) side chain. The protecting group Pbf (2,2,4,6,7-Pentamethyl-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-5-sulfonyl) is used to protect the guanidino group of arginine during synthesis. The chlorotrityl group allows for mild acid cleavage to release the peptide from the resin without affecting the peptide sequence or other side chains. This resin is ideal for creating peptide libraries for screening in drug discovery or studying protein interactions due to the ease of cleavage and compatibility with diverse synthetic protocols.
