H-Gln(Trt)-2-Chlorotrityl Resin (H-Gln(Trt)-2-Cl-Trt Resin / Ndelta-trityl-L-glutamine-2-chlorotrityl resin / H-GLN(TRT)-2-CHLOROTRITYL PS RESIN) has been widely used for drug discovery, bioconjugation, and chemical biology. The 2-Chlorotrityl linker allows for strong attachment to the resin, enabling multiple coupling cycles without significant loss of material. This feature is critical for synthesizing longer peptides or complex sequences. The Trt group protects the side-chain amine of glutamine. This protection is crucial during the synthesis process, as it prevents unwanted reactions and side products while allowing for selective deprotection at the final stages to yield the active peptide. The N-terminal amino group of glutamine remains free for subsequent coupling reactions, making the resin suitable for assembling peptide chains efficiently.
