Description

Hexakis(4-​carboxyphenyl)​benzene (H6CPB) consists of a central benzene ring (C6H6) with six phenyl rings attached to it, each bearing a carboxylic acid group (-COOH) at the para position (position 4). HCPB can be used as a building block for the synthesis of nanomaterials, such as nanoparticles, nanocomposites, or nanocrystals. Functionalized derivatives of HCPB can be employed to template or stabilize the growth of nanomaterials with controlled size, shape, and surface properties. These nanomaterials have potential applications in catalysis, sensing, drug delivery, and environmental remediation.
