HIV-1 TAT Recombinant, Biotin Labeled refers to a modified form of the HIV-1 trans-activator of transcription (TAT) protein where biotin molecules are covalently attached. TAT is a regulatory protein essential for HIV-1 replication by enhancing transcription of viral genes. It facilitates viral gene expression by binding to the trans-activation response (TAR) element in viral RNA and recruiting cellular transcription factors. Biotin-labeled TAT can be used to study its binding affinity and specificity to the TAR element in HIV-1 RNA, critical for understanding viral transcriptional regulation.
