Description

HSPC Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are lipid-based vesicles made from HSPC, a hydrogenated form of soy phosphatidylcholine. HSPC is a saturated phospholipid with hydrogenated fatty acid chains, making it more stable and less prone to oxidation than natural phospholipids, especially in the presence of oxygen or light. The lipid bilayer structure formed by HSPC allows it to encapsulate both hydrophobic drugs in the lipid core and hydrophilic compounds in the aqueous interior, making it suitable for a wide range of therapeutic applications. HSPC liposomes are characterized by a high phase transition temperature (typically around 55°C), meaning that they are in the gel phase at room temperature and are rigid in nature. This results in reduced leakage and a more stable membrane, especially under ambient and storage conditions.
