Description

Iodoacetyl-LC-Biotin is a valuable reagent in protein labeling and biochemical research, enabling site-specific biotinylation of proteins or peptides at cysteine residues for various applications in molecular biology, diagnostics, and drug delivery. Iodoacetyl-LC-Biotin can be used for site-specific crosslinking studies, where it attaches biotin to cysteine residues in close proximity within protein complexes. This helps elucidate protein-protein interactions and structural details. In addition, biotinylated proteins labeled with Iodoacetyl-LC-Biotin can be used for quantitative proteomics approaches, such as Stable Isotope Labeling with Amino Acids in Cell Culture (SILAC) or Isobaric Tags for Relative and Absolute Quantitation (iTRAQ). This allows for comparative analysis of protein expression levels in different experimental conditions.
