Description

Lipopolysacharides, Cy5 Labeled refers to lipopolysaccharides that have been labeled with Cy5, a near-infrared fluorescent dye. LPS is a complex molecule consisting of a lipid component (lipid A), a core oligosaccharide, and an O-antigen polysaccharide. It is a major component of the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria and is recognized by the immune system. Cy5 is a cyanine dye that fluoresces in the near-infrared range. Cy5-labeled LPS can be used in immunofluorescence studies to detect and visualize the presence of LPS in tissues or cells. The near-infrared signal allows for sensitive imaging with reduced autofluorescence.
