Description

m-PEG17-propargyl is a crosslinking reagent that can react with azide-bearing compounds or biomolecules in copper catalyzed Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. The propargyl group is a terminal functional group consisting of a carbon-carbon triple bond. Propargyl groups are commonly used in bioconjugation reactions, such as copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC), for the selective labeling and modification of biomolecules with azide-containing compounds. The m-PEG portion provides water solubility and flexibility to the molecule, while the propargyl group serves as a reactive handle for subsequent conjugation reactions. This compound can be used to functionalize surfaces, nanoparticles, or microspheres with PEG chains, allowing for the immobilization of biomolecules or the creation of biocompatible coatings. In addition, it is comoonly used to facilitate drug delivery, targeted imaging, and therapeutic applications.
