Description

MAL-PEG-g-PAA-N3 can be used to design controlled release systems for therapeutic agents. The PEG segment provides solubility and stability, while the PAA segment can form hydrogels or interact with metal ions to control the release profile. The maleimide group allows for conjugation with drugs or bioactive molecules, and the azide group enables additional functionalization or cross-linking. In addition, the maleimide group can be used to attach thiol-containing targeting ligands, such as antibodies or peptides, to cell surfaces, while the azide group allows for further labeling or cross-linking. MAL-PEG-g-PAA-N3 can be used to create functionalized cell surfaces for applications in cell sorting, tissue engineering, or cellular imaging.
