Description

MAL-PEG-PFP (Maleimide-PEG-PFP) is a heterobifunctional PEG derivative that can react with both thiol and amine groups. Maleimide reacts with sulfhydryl groups at pH 6.5-7.5 to form stable thiol-ether bond while PFP reacts with amine groups at pH 7-9 to form stable aminde bond. Compared to other amine reactive linkers, PFP has higher reactivity yet with better stability in aqueous buffer. PFP reacts not only with primary amine, but also with secondary amine groups.
