Description

Mal-PEG4-Val-Cit-PAB-PNP is a cleavable ADC linker used in the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADC). Maleimide groups are known for reacting specifically with thiol (-SH) groups, such as those present in cysteine residues of proteins. The Val-Cit is specifically cleaved by cathepsin B. PAB is often used as a linker in drug conjugates to attach other molecules, such as cytotoxic drugs or imaging agents, to a targeting ligand. PNP is a good leaving group when reacting with amine containing molecule.
