Description

(Methyltetrazine-PEG10)-Tri-(Azide-PEG10-ethoxymethyl)-methane is a molecule with three branches. Each branch contains a methyltetrazine group linked to a PEG10 chain, and each PEG10 chain terminates with an azide group linked to an ethoxymethyl moiety. Tetrazines are commonly used in bioorthogonal chemistry due to their high reactivity with trans-cyclooctenes (TCO) or other strained alkenes through the inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder (IEDDA) reaction. Azides are widely used in bioconjugation chemistry as they can react selectively with alkynes via copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) or strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions.
