The carboxyl group can engage in chemical interactions with other polymers or fillers, enhancing the mechanical and thermal properties of the composite materials. In agriculture, mPEG-COOH can be used to modify pesticides and herbicides to improve their solubility and distribution. It can also be used to create slow-release formulations for controlled delivery of agrochemicals.
