mPEG-DBCO (PEG-Dibenzylcyclooctyne) is a PEGylated DBCO (dibenzocyclooctyne) derivative. In the absence of any metal catalyst, mPEG-DBCO can produce a bioprocessable reaction with the azide group, which enables the conjugation of two molecules in an aqueous solution. mPEG-DBCO derivatives have excellent water solubility, fast kinetics and stability in aqueous buffers. mPEG-DBCO is one of the best PEGylation reagents for modifying proteins, peptides, antibodies, biopolymers and particles.
