Description

mPEG-PLGA (Poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether-b-Poly(lactide-co-glycolide)) is an amphiphilic diblock copolymer. The two blocks consist of a hydrophilic block polyethylene glycol (PEG) and a hydrophobic block poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA). The PEG polymer is capped with a methyl ether or methoxy (i.e. mPEG). PEGylated copolymers with biodegradable and biocompatible polyester segments is useful to prepare core-shell micelles, nanoparticles and microspheres. The hydrolytic degradability of polyester segments depend on the molecular weight and the spacer between ester groups (lactide, glycolide or caprolactone). LA/GA molar ratio will be 1:1 with no request. Specified molecular weight and molecular ratio may be offered by custom synthesis. Please contact us for more details.
