MWNT-f-Alkyne (Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube-Alkyne) represents a functionalized form of multi-walled carbon nanotubes where alkyne groups are attached to the nanotube surface. MWNTs consist of multiple concentric layers of carbon atoms arranged in a cylindrical shape, resembling rolled-up graphene sheets. They have high mechanical strength, electrical conductivity, and thermal stability. The excellent electrical conductivity of MWNTs combined with their functionalization can improve the performance of energy storage devices, such as supercapacitors or batteries. Besides, the alkyne groups on MWNTs can be used to anchor catalytic species, enhancing the performance of catalytic reactions.
