Description

N-(m-PEG4)-N’-(PEG3-Mal)-Cy5 can be used to fluorescently label biomolecules of interest for various imaging studies, such as fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, or in vivo imaging, enabling visualization and tracking of cellular processes or molecular interactions. The maleimide group (Mal) reacts specifically with thiol groups (-SH) on biomolecules, forming stable thioether bonds. This allows for site-specific labeling of proteins, peptides, or other thiol-containing molecules.
