Description

N-(t-Boc-Aminooxy-PEG2)-N-bis(PEG3-propargyl) is a compound consisting of a tert-butoxycarbonyl (t-Boc) protected aminooxy group attached to a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain (specifically PEG2) and linked to two propargyl groups via additional PEG linkers (PEG3). The tert-butoxycarbonyl (t-Boc) group is commonly used to protect amine groups in organic synthesis. It can be selectively removed under mild conditions to reveal the free amine group, allowing for further chemical modifications. The aminooxy group (NH2O) is a reactive functional group that can selectively react with carbonyl groups (e.g., aldehydes and ketones) to form stable oxime linkages. This enables bioconjugation reactions with biomolecules or surfaces that possess aldehyde or ketone functionalities.
