Description

N3-RGO/Pt refers to a composite material consisting of azide-functionalized reduced graphene oxide (N3-RGO) integrated with platinum nanoparticles (Pt). GO is a form of graphene with various oxygen-containing functional groups, such as epoxides, hydroxyls, and carboxyl groups. It is usually obtained through the oxidation of graphene. Pt nanoparticles are known for their catalytic properties and stability, making them useful in various catalytic and sensing applications. The Pt nanoparticles on N3-RGO can be used as catalysts in hydrogenation reactions. The combination of high surface area from RGO and catalytic activity of Pt enhances the efficiency of these reactions. Besides, the high surface area and electrical conductivity of N3-RGO, combined with the catalytic properties of Pt, make the composite suitable for electrochemical sensors. It can be used for the detection of gases, toxins, or other analytes.
