Description

N3-SeSe-N3 is useful in click chemistry, redox-responsive materials, drug delivery systems, and nanoparticle functionalization. Its dual azide groups allow for functionalization via CuAAC reactions, while the Se-Se bond enables controlled release or degradation under redox conditions. The Se-Se bond is redox-responsive, meaning that under reducing conditions (e.g., in the presence of reducing agents or within the cellular environment), the bond can be cleaved. This feature is particularly useful in designing drug delivery systems where the release of a payload is triggered by the cellular redox environment.
