Description

N3-TPPC6-N3 is a molecule that features two azide groups (N3) linked to a Tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin (TPP) core through a PEG chain. The TPP core can be used for fluorescence imaging due to its strong absorbance and emission properties. N3-TPPC6-N3 can be conjugated with fluorescent probes to develop imaging agents with enhanced signal properties. The porphyrin core can also be used in photodynamic therapy, where it generates reactive oxygen species upon light activation to kill cancer cells or pathogens. The azide groups facilitate the attachment of targeting ligands or drugs to improve the specificity and efficacy of PDT.
