Description

N3DG1 is a chemically modified nucleoside derived from guanosine, where the hydroxyl group (-OH) at the 3′ position of the ribose sugar is replaced by an azido group (-N3). N3DG1 can be used to terminate DNA chain elongation. The azido group at the 3′ position prevents the addition of further nucleotides, making it a potential tool in sequencing technologies or studies of DNA replication. In addition, the incorporation of N3DG1 into synthetic oligonucleotides or during in vitro transcription/translation processes allows researchers to study the effects of modified nucleosides on polymerase activity and nucleic acid stability.
