Neutral L-alpha-PC/CHOL Fluorescent Liposome, Cy5.5 Labeled refers to liposomes primarily composed of a neutral mixture of lipids, including L-alpha-phosphatidylcholine (L-alpha-PC) and cholesterol (CHOL) which are labeled with the fluorescent dye Cy5.5. Cy5.5 is a near-infrared fluorescent dye commonly used in biological and biomedical research for fluorescence-based imaging and detection. These liposomes can be employed for drug delivery. They can encapsulate therapeutic agents, and the Cy5.5 label enables tracking of drug delivery and distribution, especially in in vivo settings.
