Description

NH-bis(PEG2-t-butyl ester) combines amine functionality, PEG spacers, and t-butyl ester protecting groups. Amines are commonly used in bioconjugation reactions as they can react with various functional groups such as carboxylic acids, aldehydes, and activated esters. T-Butyl ester groups are often used as protecting groups to shield reactive functional groups, such as amines or hydroxyl groups, during chemical synthesis. They can be selectively removed under mild conditions to reveal the reactive functional group.
