Description

PBA-Lips/Cy7 combines a lipid-based delivery system with a fluorescent dye, specifically Cy7, to facilitate high-resolution imaging and precise tracking of biological molecules or nanoparticles. Cy7 (Cyanine 7) is a fluorescent dye with strong absorption and emission in the near-infrared (NIR) region (approximately 750-800 nm). Cy7 is known for its high brightness, photostability, and minimal background interference, making it ideal for in vivo imaging and deep tissue penetration. PBA-Lips/Cy7 is employed to study the pharmacokinetics of drug-loaded liposomes. The NIR fluorescence of Cy7 helps in assessing the distribution, metabolism, and excretion of the liposomes in animal models.
