Description

PC-Biotin-PEG4-NHS carbonate is used for the covalent attachment of biotin to amine-containing molecules or surfaces. The NHS carbonate group reacts specifically with primary amines, such as those found in lysine residues of proteins or amine-modified surfaces, to form stable amide bonds. This allows for the site-specific conjugation of biotin to biomolecules or surfaces, enabling subsequent binding to avidin or streptavidin for various applications, including biotinylation of proteins, surface functionalization, targeted drug delivery, and biosensors.
