Pd-NPs@alkyne-PVA/GO is a composite material combining palladium nanoparticles (Pd-NPs) with alkyne-functionalized polyvinyl alcohol (alkyne-PVA) and graphene oxide (GO). Palladium nanoparticles are renowned for their catalytic properties and are used in various reactions including hydrogenation, oxidation, and cross-coupling reactions. The integration of Pd-NPs, alkyne-PVA, and GO results in a composite with improved mechanical strength, electrical conductivity, and catalytic performance. This compound can also be used to create sensors where the catalytic activity of Pd-NPs and the high surface area of GO improve detection capabilities. The alkyne groups facilitate the attachment of sensing elements.
