Description

PDLLA-PEG-N3 (Poly(D,L-lactide)-b-poly(ethylene glycol)-azide) can be used to fabricate scaffolds for tissue engineering applications. The copolymer can be processed into various forms, such as hydrogels, fibers, or porous scaffolds, which mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM) of native tissues. The hydrophilic PEG segments enhance cell adhesion and proliferation, while the biodegradable PDLLA segments provide mechanical support and control over degradation rates. Additionally, the azide functional groups allow for facile modification of the scaffold surface with bioactive molecules or cell-targeting ligands, promoting tissue regeneration and integration.
