Description

PDLLA-PEG-PDLLA Diacrylate (Poly(D,L-lactide-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide diacrylate) hydrogels can be formulated into wound dressings for the treatment of acute or chronic wounds. The hydrogel matrices provide a moist environment that promotes wound healing, while the biodegradable PDLLA segments facilitate the gradual release of bioactive agents, such as growth factors or antimicrobial agents, to enhance tissue regeneration and prevent infection. The crosslinked structure of the hydrogels ensures excellent adhesion to the wound site and minimizes leakage of fluids.
