PDLLA-PEG-PDLLA (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide)) is used in the fabrication of scaffolds for tissue engineering applications. The copolymer’s biodegradable nature and tunable mechanical properties make it suitable for supporting cell growth, tissue regeneration, and eventual replacement with native tissue. The incorporation of bioactive molecules or growth factors into PLA-PEG-PLA scaffolds further enhances tissue regeneration and healing.
