PDLLA-PEG-PDLLA (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide)) is utilized in tissue engineering scaffolds for regenerative medicine applications. The copolymers can be processed into porous scaffolds with tunable mechanical properties and degradation rates, providing structural support for tissue regeneration. The hydrophilic PEG blocks promote cell adhesion and proliferation, while the biodegradable PDLLA blocks facilitate scaffold degradation over time, allowing for tissue ingrowth and remodeling.
