Description

PEG-Acetal-b-P(LA-g-N3)-b-P(LA-g-Py) can serve as a dual-functional imaging probe by combining the fluorescent properties of pyrene with the functionalization capability of azide groups. It can be used to visualize biological processes while simultaneously targeting specific biomolecules or cells. In addition, the PEG-Acetal block is sensitive to acidic conditions, making it ideal for drug delivery systems that target acidic environments, such as tumors or intracellular compartments (e.g., endosomes and lysosomes). Upon exposure to these environments, the acetal groups hydrolyze, releasing the drug-loaded copolymer and allowing for controlled drug release.
